Unfortunately, Christians have rarely been willing to speak this truth to their brothers and sisters, much less themselves. Yet it is in a willingness to self-reflect and to clean ones past that Christians must find themselves striving for. Christ has cleaned off our sin in heaven, not on earth. We do not need to worry about getting into heaven, but rather how to live out his will on earth. We are required to reconcile with our brothers and sisters, so that they have no screens of the past will get in their way of seeing God. Christians must be active and devoted to the ways of this world. Christians must look at how their lives have caused the inequalities and injustices in the world, and how they continue too. It is in a mindset of reconciling that Christians can live a life worthy of Christ's model. This blog will be a place where I will contemplate what being a reconciler and self-reflective Christian means for me.

A Self Reflection...
Often it seems like the last thing on anyone's mind these days is to be self-reflective. Everyone would rather look to some future greatness of themselves and their communities, then the blemishes in their past. In my world I see Democrats asking what can they add to fix the troubles of the past; and Republicans would rather assume that if they keep walking forward they won't have to reconcile with the past. Who among us is willing to speak truth to our past?
